Local Landmark
The White Lick Creek Trail Bridge in Plainfield, IN
The cable-stayed pedestrian bridge over White Lick Creek is the signature image of Plainfield's recreational trail system - and a short walk from our headquarters.

Where is the White Lick Creek Trail Bridge?
The bridge sits inside Hummel Park in Plainfield, Indiana, just east of US-40 (Main Street). It carries the White Lick Creek Trail across the creek and connects the park's playgrounds, fields, and the Splash Island aquatic center to the larger Hendricks County trail network.
What makes the bridge special?
The single-tower cable-stayed design is uncommon for a pedestrian bridge of this size - it became the visual signature of Plainfield's parks system when it opened. At night it's lit up with color-changing LEDs that locals know by heart.
What can you do at the trail?
- Walk, jog, or bike the paved 6+ mile White Lick Creek Trail loop.
- Cross the cable-stayed bridge for the obligatory Plainfield photo.
- Visit the playgrounds, splash pad, and disc-golf course in Hummel Park.
- Connect to the wider Hendricks County trail network.
- Hummel Park hosts free summer concerts and fireworks on July 4.
